Anna Nalick Finds Emotion in Her Music on Shure Earphones.

NILES, Ill. -- When Anna Nalick took time off from her major tour this summer, she used her new Shure E500PTH Sound Isolating Earphones to find and enjoy the emotions in her music and the other songs she loves.

"I have this vision in my head of what I want a song to sound like when we're recording in the studio," Anna explained. "When I'm listening, I close my eyes and ask myself 'what is the feeling that I'm looking for?'"

"Shure earphones recreate that emotional content in my music."

Evolved from personal monitor technology road-tested by pro musicians and fine-tuned by engineers, the new Shure E500PTH offers unparalleled acoustic accuracy. Triple Hi-Definition DriversCoone tweeter and two woofersCodeliver precision highs and the richest lows, for an auditory experience rivaled only by live performances.

"I like the sounds of instruments that remind me of sounds I like in life," Anna continued. "My cat purring, rain falling, the emotions of these things can get captured by strings, like cello or violin. Bringing that human aspect to music is very important to me."

During her grueling tour schedule this summer, Anna always had her favorite songs and some new material loaded on her iPod. When she wanted to find a place to relax or unwind, she used Shure earphones to tune out the ambient noise and tune in to the songs that she knows and loves.

Anna elaborated: "We put more instrumentation into the new version of 'Wreck of the Day,' especially this delicate background guitar part, and more strength, more raw emotion into the vocals. I hadn't heard these parts as clearly as I had in the studio until I listened to the song on my Shure earphones."

"I'm a big Jeff Buckley fan," Anna continued. "When I listen to 'Lover, You Should've Come Over,' his voice sounds like he's right here next to me. It's just amazingly clear and honest."

"I listen to the Beatles all the time. One of my favorites is 'Eleanor Rigby.' I like the way you can hear the sound in both ears, but it's not all at once. It's really cool the way the voices surround you."

"But you really have to have your earphones on to hear it."

There's more from Anna Nalick on what she's creating and listening to in the 'Found Sounds' section of the Shure Web site (http://www.shure.com/PersonalAudio/ArtistRelations/index.htm).
