Her role will see Ms Ford promote the Newcastle firm and help to develop materials for its adult learning side. It is her only other formal business post after becoming a director of Sainsbury last month and is a coup for the Amazing Group. Ms Ford was an Open University lecturer before entering television and is co-Chancellor of Manchester University. She said: "Lifelong learning Lifelong learning is the concept that "It's never too soon or too late for learning", a philosophy that has taken root in a whole host of different organisations. Lifelong learning is attitudinal; that one can and should be open to new ideas, decisions, skills or behaviors. for everyone is a passion of mine. Having taught many years ago, I've long wanted to get actively involved in education again." |
