:SJR): Anime Network and Shaw Cablesystems today announced they have expanded their programming partnership to add a monthly subscription Video On Demand service to the slate of entertainment choices available on Shaw.

Shaw Digital TV customers can now get up to 20 hours of compelling anime content for $4.99 per month with Shaw Video On Demand. The new monthly subscription Video On Demand (SVOD SVOD Subscription Video on Demand

) package includes anime series with weekly episodic updates. Anime Network will continue to provide anime features and live-action Asian films at $4.99 each through Shaw Video On Demand.

Shaw viewers will continue to enjoy the popular top titles from the large library of Anime Network including Neon Genesis Evangelion The name Neon Genesis Evangelion can refer to a number of things; generally usage of the term can refers to a number of works in the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise, such as the following, or the overall franchise itself:
  • the 1994 manga by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto,
 and Samurai X. Also included in the subscription price are new hit series that are currently rolling out, such as Gantz and Full Metal Panic.
