The letter also noted Dinitto's use of veterinary drugs for off-label uses without veterinary supervision. The inspection took place Sept. 12-14 and 17. 11183W Dixon Feeds, Dixon, MT, Oct. 24 (Seattle). The agency cited the feed mill for lack of a system to prevent com-mingling of prohibited and non-prohibited materials and for failure to label products with the required cautionary statement "do not feed to cattle or other ruminants." Dixon was also cited for failure to calibrate a spring scale used to weigh category 1 drugs. The inspection of Dixon took place Sept. 1. BSE 11184W Loyola Dairy, Chino, CA, Oct. 9 (Los Angeles). FDA cited the dairy for sale of a bovine for slaughter with excess penicillin and for lack of an adequate system to assure livestock is withheld from slaughter for sufficient periods too assure depletion of potentially hazardous drug residues. The inspection took place July 25-26. |
