Anheuser-Busch appeals European trademark ruling.Anheuser-Busch has reportedly filed an appeal against an European Union European Union (EU), name given since the ratification (Nov., 1993) of the Treaty of European Union, or Maastricht Treaty, to the European Community ruling that prevents it from registering Budweiser a single trademark in the 25 EU countries. The appeal was filed in late September September: see month. in an EU court in Luxembourg. In that ruling, the EU rejected a "community trademark" application for Budweiser by A-B A-B Air-Britain (UK-based aviation historical society) A-B Research Centre Applied Biocatalysis (Graz, Austria) , saying that Czech brewer Budejovicky Budvar had already registered Budweiser in France and Austria.
