Anheuser-Busch Donates $65,000 to Los Angeles Jewish Federation.LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1998--Anheuser-Busch Cos. This is the sixth year that Anheuser-Busch has provided funds to the Federation. The donation is earmarked to benefit a wide variety of health, education and human-services concerns coordinated through the agency. "This is a commitment we are proud to make," said Gary Lee, plant manager of the Anheuser-Busch Van Nuys brewery A brewery can be a building or place that produces beer, or a business (brewing company) whose trade is the production and sale of beer. Breweries can take up multiple city blocks, or be a collection of equipment in a homebrewer's kitchen. . "We believe in giving back to the communities in which our employees work and live, and are pleased to continue helping to make a difference in the lives of those served by the Federation." Lee and Tony Jones, director of community outreach for Anheuser-Busch, presented the check on behalf of the company. "We are grateful for the steadfast support of Anheuser-Busch," said John Fishel, executive vice president of the Federation. "We salute Anheuser-Busch for helping us help others." This donation is one of 10 being made by Anheuser-Busch to Jewish agencies across the country totaling more than $300,000 in 1998, and more than $2 million since the program began.
