Anheuser-Busch Applauds Quick Action By Florida Lawmakers In Advancing Legislation To Target Repeat Drunk Drivers.

:BUD) Vice President and Senior Government Affairs Officer Richard F. Keating today praised the Florida legislative leadership for moving quickly to advance repeat drunk driver legislation proposed only weeks ago by Senator Simmons and Representative Burt, respectively.

"For more than a decade, Anheuser-Busch has pushed for legislation targeting repeat drunk driving offenders," said Keating. "Because of our track record in this area, we quickly noted the merits of the proposed legislation and we're committed to strongly support it. Government data clearly shows that legislative attention should be focused on high blood alcohol content Blood alcohol content (BAC) or blood alcohol concentration is the concentration of alcohol in blood. It is usually measured as mass per volume. For example, a BAC of 0.02% means 0.02 grams of alcohol per 100 grams of individual's blood, or 0.  offenders because these dangerous drivers cause 8 out of 10 drunk driving fatalities."

Keating added that Anheuser-Busch is working with its Florida lobbyists and network of beer distributors in the state to write letters, make phone calls and contact their elected officials to urge them to support these legislative proposals.
