.) reports the impressive results from shipments of garnet gem-rough previously forwarded to Sri Lanka for cutting.

A 2 tonne bulk sample of pegmatite pegmatite: see granite.
pegmatite

Almost any wholly crystalline igneous rock that is at least in part very coarse-grained, the major constituents of which include minerals typically found in ordinary igneous rocks (such as granites) and in which
has produced a total of 1,381 facetted garnet gemstones weighing 138.4 carats.

ASW's results include 309 transparent, facetted, pyrope/almandite (commonly referred to as "rhodolite rho·do·lite

" in the gem/jewelry industry) garnets, weighing a total of 72.6 carats. These top quality gemstones measured a minimum of 3mm in diameter, with the largest stone, an oval measuring 9mm x 6mm x 4mm, weighing 1.6 carats. Three garnets from the 2 tonne bulk sample were sent to the Gemological Institute of America The Gemological Institute of America, or GIA, is a non-profit institute dedicated to research and education in the field of gemology. The GIA is also well known for its gem identification and grading services, and developed the famous "four Cs" (Cut, Clarity, Color and Carat , Gem Trade Laboratory, Identification Report 10442343, August 19, 1998, confirmed the gem-grade.

In addition to the 309 3mm+ gemstones mentioned above, 1072 garnets were cut to calibrated sizes, producing 389 garnets at 2.5mm and 683 garnets at 2mm., weighing 65.8 carats. The total garnet produced from this 2 tonne bulk sample is 1,381 finished gemstones, weighing a total of 138.4 carats or 69.2 carats per tonne. The finished gemstones were cut in a variety of popular shapes, including round, oval, emerald, pear, triangle, square and trapezoid trapezoid, closed plane figure bounded by four line segments, or sides, two of which are parallel and two of which are nonparallel. The parallel sides of a trapezoid are called bases and the nonparallel sides legs; in an isosceles trapezoid the legs are of equal .

Management is very enthusiastic with the company's carat per tonne yield and the size of the finished gems as wholesale prices range from (a)US$25 to $35 per carat for rhodolite garnet of similar color, size and clarity. For comparison purposes, the Canadian diamond industry uses the term "macro" to describe any rough diamond that measures at least 0.5mm in diameter, prior to cutting.

The rough material was removed from a surface pegmatite on ASW's Blu Starr Gemstone property, located in southeastern British Columbia. This material was removed prior to the May 1, 2000 Joint Venture Agreement with Hampton Court Resources Inc. In a joint news release issued on October 19, 2000, Hampton Court reported they were very encouraged with results from their Phase One program, which, among other things, discovered additional sapphire, garnet and iolite outcrops.

The Blu Starr Gemstone property to-date has yielded numerous precious and semi-precious gemstones including star-sapphire, iolite, garnet, aquamarine, beryl, tourmaline, titanite ti·tan·ite

Anglo has mounted a variety of these stones in rings, pendants and ear rings and will be show casing both the gemstones and the jewelry at a number of upcoming trade/investment shows. The first show will be held in Kelowna BC on March 8th. For additional information on these shows please call our investor relations at 1-888-684-5524 or visit our website at www.anglo-swiss.com.
