Anglo American Exploration -USA-, Inc. 2004 Ni-Cu-PGE Exploration Results for the MAN Alaska Project.SEATTLE -- Nevada Star Resource Corp. (OTC-BB: NVSRF and TSX-V: NEV NEV Nevada (old style US postal abbreviation) NEV Neighborhood Electric Vehicle NEV Nevis, Leeward Islands, Saint Kitts And Nevis (Airport Code) NEV Network Enhancement Vehicle NEV Network Event Viewer ) ("Nevada Star") announces the results of Anglo American Exploration (USA) Inc.'s (AAEUS") 2004 exploration program on Area 1 of Nevada Star's MAN Alaska property. AAEUS spent approximately $950,000 USD USD In currencies, this is the abbreviation for the U.S. Dollar. Notes: The currency market, also known as the Foreign Exchange market, is the largest financial market in the world, with a daily average volume of over US $1 trillion. on the 2004 program. Based on the results of the 2004 program, AAEUS is moving forward with a more extensive geophysical and drill program in 2005. The AAEUS exploration program further advanced the nickel-copper-platinum group element (Ni-Cu-PGE) potential in Area 1 of the MAN Alaska Property. The program focused on the major Fish Lake and Dunite dunite Yellowish green to green igneous rock composed almost entirely of olivine. Chromite and magnetite also occur in dunite, as do spinel, ilmenite, pyrrhotite, and platinum in some cases. Dunites may be a source of chromium. Places of occurrence include Dun Mtn. Hill intrusions and was managed by AAEUS geologist Kevin Wells, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The objectives of the exploration program were to: 1. Fly an airborne magnetics-electromagnetics (Mag-EM) survey (1865 line miles) using AAEUS's proprietary SPECTREM technology. 2. Undertake geological prospecting, mapping and drill core examination. 3. Complete a soil sampling geochemistry program over the Fish Lake and Dunite Hill intrusions. 4. Combine the new geophysical, geological and geochemical data with data from previous exploration programs in order to identify targets for a spring 2005 drill program. 5. Complete structural interpretation of airborne magnetics. 6. Engage in community relations activities. Electromagnetic Surveys A SPECTREM airborne EM-mag survey was undertaken in July 2004; however, the survey was terminated early because of technical problems associated with the presence of thick conductive serpentinized ultramafics which limited the depth penetration capability of the airborne system. To achieve better depth penetration, AAEUS implemented a ground geophysical program using a SQUID B-field sensor, which can detect large conductive mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. To convert to a mineral substance; petrify. 2. To transform a metal into a mineral by oxidation. 3. zones within serpentinized ultramafic ul·tra·maf·ic adj. Ultrabasic. ultramafic Containing mainly mafic minerals. Used of igneous rocks and often used interchangeably with ultrabasic. Dunite is an ultramafic rock. units at depths of up to 3,281 feet. The program was started late in the field season and will be completed during the spring of 2005. The results of the limited surveying in 2004 revealed detection of a strong 50 Siemen conductor located on or adjacent to the basal contact of the Fish Lake Intrusion. This highly conductive feature appears to be coincident co·in·ci·dent adj. 1. Occupying the same area in space or happening at the same time: a series of coincident events. See Synonyms at contemporary. 2. with a UTEM conductor identified by American Copper & Nickel Company, Inc. ("ACNC ACNC Accounts Currently Not Collectable ") in 1996. Geological Prospecting Prospecting and mapping during the 2004 field season was successful in locating a number of disseminated magmatic sulphide occurrences in ultramafic rocks and locally derived boulders in the Fish Lake ultramafic complex. A review of previous ACNC drill core from this complex confirmed the presence of disseminated type sulphides over significant widths. AAEUS assays of Tres Equis massive sulfide samples returned nickel values up to 1% higher than previously determined. Grab sample Noun 1. grab sample - a single sample or measurement taken at a specific time or over as short a period as feasible sample - a small part of something intended as representative of the whole MAN-R-73251 assayed 6.68% nickel, 1.02% copper, 0.42% cobalt and 1.4 g/t palladium, and sample MAN-R-73279 assayed 5.79% nickel, 5.45% copper, 0.33% cobalt, and 1.04 g/t palladium. Geochemistry geochemistry, study of the chemical changes on the earth. More specifically, it is the study of the absolute and relative abundances of chemical elements in the minerals, soils, ores, rocks, water, and atmosphere of the earth and the distribution and movement of The soil sampling program (2,922 samples) defined coincident Ni-Cu-PGE anomalous sites in areas of known nickel sulphide mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. and outlined new potential target areas within the Fish Lake and Dunite Hill intrusions. The results of the soil sampling program will be released after completion of a full analysis by AAEUS. Structural Interpretation of Airborne Magnetics A detailed structural interpretation of the AAEUS's Area 1 of the MAN Alaska Project area identified possible structural controls on the formation and deformation of the Fish Lake and Dunite Hill intrusions and related magmatic sulfide mineralization. The structural interpretation was based on analysis of the regional and project area airborne magnetic data and outlined a number of potential targets warranting ground follow-up. About the Joint Venture Agreement Under the terms of the joint venture agreement, AAEUS can earn a 51 percent interest in the southern portion of the MAN property by spending a total of $12 million USD by 2008. AAEUS has the right to increase their interest an additional 19 percent by completing a positive feasibility study The analysis of a problem to determine if it can be solved effectively. The operational (will it work?), economical (costs and benefits) and technical (can it be built?) aspects are part of the study. Results of the study determine whether the solution should be implemented. , at its expense, and an additional 5 percent by arranging production financing for both AAEUS and Nevada Star. About the MAN Alaska Project Nevada Star Resource Corp's 271 square mile Alaskan property, officially called the MAN Alaska Project, is located 164 miles southeast of Fairbanks and 248 miles northeast of Anchorage. Exploration by Nevada Star began in 1995 in this large area which is characterized by its extremely anomalous nickel, PGE PGE Pacific Gas and Electric Company PGE Portland General Electric PGE Prostaglandin E PGE Platinum Group Elements PGE Pacific Great Eastern (Railroad) PGE Phenyl Glycidyl Ether PGE Perfect Girl Evolution , and gold concentrations. Exploration results to date on the MAN Alaska property indicate that it has the potential for a significant discovery of nickel, platinum-group elements, and gold metals which are in high-demand but in short supply globally, especially as the Russian Noril'sk supply diminishes. The MAN Alaska Project, which consists of five distinct project areas: Canwell, Rainy/ Eureka, Summit Hill, Dunite Hill/Fish Lake, and Broxson, is supported by a solid infrastructure: it is accessible from two paved highways and borders the Alaska Pipeline. View the project maps at http://www.nevadastar.com/s/MANProject.asp for a breakdown of the project areas. The southern section (Area 1) of the MAN Alaska property is now under joint venture with Anglo American Exploration (USA), Inc., who is performing its exploration program pursuant to the agreement with Nevada Star.
