Anglican Video recognized at festival.


Anglican Video's Topahdewin: The Gladys Cook Story, a film about an aboriginal Anglican woman who survived a damaged childhood to become a prominent drug and alcohol abuse counselor, won a Bronze Award Several organizations issue awards with this name:
  • The Bronze Award (Girl Scouts of the USA).
  • The Bronze Award of the Venturing program of the Boy Scouts of America.
  • A level of the The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
 in the documentary category at the 39th Annual Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival.

There were 4,500 entries from 33 countries in the festival, which is the oldest independent film and video festival in the world and the third oldest film festival in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

The one-hour documentary uses archival footage, still photography and 13 years of interviews with Ms. Cook, in which she talks about her journey of despair, rediscovery Noun 1. rediscovery - the act of discovering again

A recipient of a 1996 Governor General's Award Since their creation in 1937, the Governor General's Literary Awards have become one of Canada's most prestigious prizes, awarded in both French and English in seven categories: Fiction, Non-fiction, Poetry, Drama, Children's Literature (Text), Children's Literature (Illustration),  for promoting women's tights, Ms. Cook was sexually abused while attending a native residential school.
