The weather has meant that Jubilee Lakes has only been open two days out of four but those anglers braving the conditions have enjoyed good sport with trout being taken very deep on mostly Olive or Grizzle grizzle a bluish-gray or iron-gray coat color in dogs, consisting of a mixture of black and white hairs. Trout have been caught very deep and on mainly either the Olive or Grizzle Zonker or the Cats Whisker. Michael Lumley from Durham, fishing an Olive Zonker had the only double of the week - a wellconditioned rainbow of 12lb 8oz. Anyone planning an outing to Jubilee Lakes should check the conditions on the fishery's website (www.jubileelakes.com) or on (01388) 772611 before setting out. Witton Castle Lakes have been frozen over this week leaving anglers hoping for a south westerly Westerly, town (1990 pop. 21,605), Washington co., extreme SW R.I., between the Pawcatuck River and Block Island Sound; inc. 1669. Its textile industry dates from 1814, and granite has been quarried there since c.1850. breeze and, perhaps, a little rain to melt the ice and frost. The fishery will remain open throughout the winter - conditions permitting - from 9am to 4pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The new season will open on Saturday, February 7.
