Actress Angie Harmon Angela Michelle Harmon Sehorn (born August 10, 1972) is an American fashion model and television/film actress. She became a well-known model in the 1990s and developed a career as a television star after roles on Baywatch Nights and Law & Order. , who appears on Glamour's April cover, has become one of the most talked about actresses on network television. In her second season as lock-'em-up-and-throw-away-the-key assistant D.A. Abbie Carmichael Abbie Carmichael is a fictional character on the TV drama Law & Order created by Rene Balcer and portrayed by model/actress Angie Harmon. The character was regularly featured from 1998 to 2001.  on NBC's "Law & Order," Harmon works a 90 hour -plus week and struggles to find time for a personal life.

Harmon, who beat out 84 other actresses for the role, says that Abbie has ".. a real vendetta vendetta (vĕndĕt`ə) [Ital.,=vengeance], feud between members of two kinship groups to avenge a wrong done to a relative. Although the term originated in Corsica, the custom has also been practiced in other parts of Italy, in other  for cleaning up society because she was raped in college...she avenges the battered or raped woman."

Her co-star, Sam Waterson, adds that even in real life, "Angie would be a great person to have watch your back in a fight."

"Angie's a rare commodity in this business," says Jerry Orbach (who plays detective Lennie Briscoe). "There's almost nobody who looks that good who can act."

"My mother watches the show religiously," Sehorn tells Glamour. "Angie came to a game with a friend. My mom recognized her, we went up to talk to her - and that was it."

"When she smiles at you, it's huge," says Sehorn of the lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. "And you can't complain when you meet a woman who can talk football with you."

Watching her boyfriend get clobbered by a 300 pound opponent hell-bent on doing him harm "gets harder the deeper we get involved," Harmon says. "But Jason is like, 'Please keep in mind that I'm the one who does the hitting' (Sehorn plays a cornerback, a defensive position). But I'm like, 'What happens if someone sneaks up on you."
