Anger at fugitive's 'open life'.

Byline: By DECLAN FERRY

A DRUG dealer on the run for five months escaped from jail again just weeks after he was caught - by walking out the gate, it was claimed yesterday.

Jonathan Dunne, 24, from Drumalee Road, Dublin 7, is allegedly living in a flat in the city.

Independent TD Tony Gregory Tony Gregory (Irish: Antoin Ó Greágóir; born 5 December, 1947) is an Irish Independent politician and has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for Dublin Central since 1982.  said the case makes a sham False; without substance.

A sham Pleading is one that is good in form but is so clearly false in fact that it does not raise any genuine issue.
of Justice Minister Michael McDowell's "so-called tough approach" on drugs.

Mr Gregory added: "People are outraged that when a drug dealer is put behind bars Verb 1. put behind bars - lock up or confine, in or as in a jail; "The suspects were imprisoned without trial"; "the murderer was incarcerated for the rest of his life"
gaol, immure, imprison, incarcerate, jail, jug, lag, remand, put away
this is the way he is treated."

Dunne was given a three-day leave in January but never came back.

Gardai caught up with him in June before he was then placed in Shelton Abbey, Co Wicklow, where he walked out.
