A WEBSITE is cashing in on the Angel of the North by selling Christmas gifts.

From baby bibs to tea towels, the online store has printed images of the statue “Statues” redirects here. For other uses, see Statues (disambiguation).
A statue is a sculpture depicting a specific entity, usually a person, event, animal or object. Its primary concern is representational.

A small statue is called statuette.
 on items to celebrate the Angel's 10th anniversary.

It is hoped the site will appeal to art lovers as well as people from the region proud of their heritage.

A spokesman for Gateshead Council said: "The Angel of the North model that featured on Antiques Roadshow Antiques Roadshow is a British human interest television show in which antiques appraisers travel to various regions of the United Kingdom and appraise antiques brought in by local residents. It has been running since 1979.  may have been valued at pounds 1m, but the new website will give everyone the chance to own a little piece of the North East icon."
