, today announced that Aneel Bhusri has joined the firm as a general partner in its Palo Alto office.

Bhusri, 33, was recently named vice chairman of PeopleSoft, Inc. after several years as the company's senior vice president in charge of product strategy, business development and marketing.

At PeopleSoft, Bhusri was responsible for developing and guiding all product strategy, corporate and product marketing. He also led the company's business development efforts in key areas such as new product development, vertical market initiatives and corporate expansion. In addition to joining Greylock as a general partner, Bhusri will continue as PeopleSoft vice-chairman.

Prior to PeopleSoft, Bhusri held positions in both venture capital and corporate finance. He holds a masters in business administration from Stanford University Stanford University, at Stanford, Calif.; coeducational; chartered 1885, opened 1891 as Leland Stanford Junior Univ.
