Andy so handy for soccer kids; BURNTWOOD.BURNTWOOD Leisure Centre kicked off its Get Match Fit for a Fiver campaign in style with a visit from ex-Wolves player Andy Sinton Andy Sinton (born 19 March, 1966 in Cramlington, Northumberland, England) is a former professional footballer. Andy was an outstanding schoolboy footballer, playing for the England Under 15 team. . Footie-mad youngsters were thrilled to be coached by the 40-year-old, who played for QPR QPR Queens Park Rangers (football club) QPR Quarterly Progress Report QPR Quadrature Partial Response QPR Quarterly Performance Review QPR Question, Persuade, Refer (suicide prevention program) , Tottenham, Wolves - and 12 times for England - during his career as a midfielder. Andy gave the kids plenty of soccer tips and handy hints on hitting the back of the net, but he also spent time talking to them about the benefits of sport and exercise. The kids tested their new found skills in penalty shootouts, speed gun challenges and "Bend it Like Beckham" target shooting. The young players showed they really had caught World Cup Fever, in a nail-biting World Cup-style tournament. Chris Kirkland, sports development officer, said: "The kids had a great time and learned lots of new footie skills."
