Andrx Sells Massachusetts Aerosol Manufacturing Operation to Amphastar.Business Editors/Health/Medical Writers FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2003 Andrx Corporation ("Andrx" or "Company") (Nasdaq:ADRX ADRX Andrx Corporation (stock symbol) ) today announced that it has sold Armstrong Pharmaceuticals, Inc., its Massachusetts-based aerosol manufacturing company, to Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a California-based generic and specialty pharmaceutical company. Andrx had previously disclosed that it was seeking to possibly divest this entity. In connection with this transaction, Andrx has agreed, under certain circumstances, to continue to purchase certain minimum quantities of Albuterol albuterol /al·bu·ter·ol/ (al-bu´ter-ol) a ß agonist used as the base or sulfate salt as a bronchodilator. al·bu·ter·ol n.
