Andrx Names Lawrence Rosenthal to Lead its Sales & Marketing Team.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 1999--ANDRX CORPORATION (Nasdaq:ADRX) announced today the appointment of Lawrence Rosenthal to lead its sales and marketing team.

Mr. Rosenthal has been appointed Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing of Andrx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. His responsibilities will include the development of sales and marketing strategies to establish Andrx as the premier specialty pharmaceutical company in the world and to establish Andrx as the generic brand of choice. Mr. Rosenthal was previously employed for 12 years by Teva Pharmaceuticals, Inc., one of the leading generic pharmaceutical companies in the United States, most recently as Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Alan Cohen, Chief Executive Officer of Andrx, put Rosenthal's hiring into perspective.
