Andrx Corporation (Nasdaq:ADRX ADRX Andrx Corporation (stock symbol) ) today announced the results of its 2003 annual meeting of stockholders.

At the annual meeting, stockholders elected three directors, Joseph E. Breslin, Carter H. Eckert and Irwin C. Gerson, to serve until the 2006 annual meeting; approved a proposal to amend the Company's 2000 stock option plan to permit the grant of additional types of securities thereunder; approved a proposal to amend the Company's employee stock purchase plan to increase the number of shares issuable thereunder; and ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  as the Company's independent auditors Independent Auditor

An external auditor with a certified public accounting designation that qualifies him or her to provide an auditor's report.
