Andrew W. Patterson Rejoins Mercer's Utilities Consulting Practice.


BOSTON -- Andrew W. Patterson, formerly senior vice president of Corporate Development at American Electric Power American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) is a major investor-owner electric utility in various parts of the United States. It is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. It serves parts of 11 states, and is currently the largest electricity generating utility in the United States.  (AEP AEP - Application Environment Profile ), has rejoined Mercer Management Consulting as a director in the firm's utilities consulting practice. He is based in Atlanta.

Patterson brings extensive experience working with energy utility industry clients in the areas of strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, operations effectiveness, and asset valuation. During his 16 years as a management consultant, ten have been spent consulting directly to the energy utility sector. In addition, he spent five years serving the senior executive leadership team of AEP.

While at AEP from 2000 to 2004, Patterson helped address key strategic and operating issues in senior roles that included senior vice president of Corporate Development, senior vice president of Retail Mass Markets, and vice president of Strategic Analysis.

Prior to joining the senior executive team at AEP, Patterson was a vice president with Mercer Management Consulting, based in Los Angeles. His client work at Mercer focused on the major energy utilities across North America.
