WORCESTER Andrew W. "Andy" Johnston, 55, of 14 Oran St., died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, in UMass Memorial Medical Center- Memorial Campus, after a short illness.

He leaves his wife of 34 years, Carol A. (Brooks) Johnston; a daughter, Karrie A. Johnston of Cherry Valley Cherry Valley can refer to several places:

. He worked at the State Prison in Gardner for 16 years. He then transferred to the new Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center is a maximum security prison located at MCI Shirley in Shirley, Massachusetts. The prison opened September 30, 1998.

The center was named in the memory of two correctional staff, Corrections Officer James Souza and Industrial Instructor
 in Shirley, where he worked until retiring due to illness. In 1999, he was honored as the Department of Corrections employee of the year. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who were the light of his life.
