Floyd L. English, chairman, president and chief executive officer, made the announcement at Andrew Corp.'s annual meeting of stockholders held in Oakbrook Terrace yesterday.

This action by the board of directors will substantially increase the number of shares of Andrew common stock available in the marketplace," Dr. English said.
