The antennas have aluminum trifold reflector panels that provide excellent thermal expansion characteristics and ensure extremely accurate surface contour.

Andrew transportable ESAs are used worldwide in a wide range of satellite communications applications including fixed, mobile, and direct broadcast services as well as military applications. The antennas meet or exceed ASIASAT, EUTELSAT EUTELSAT European Telecommunications Satellite , PANAMSAT PANAMSAT Pan American Satellite , APSTAR, BRAZILSAT, and INTELSAT requirements.
