Andrew Solutions' Wollongong Facility Named "Business of Year" by Illawarra Business Chamber in Australia.

WOLLONGONG, Australia -- The Andrew Solutions facility in Wollongong, New South Wales--which has developed innovative location technology for commercial and emergency services applications worldwide--has been named "Business Of The Year" by the Illawarra Business Chamber.

The Andrew Wollongong team was one of 220 nominated companies competing in various categories for awards at the 2009 Illawarra Business Awards ceremony. Andrew, the CommScope division that is a global leader in wireless communications products and systems, also won "Business of the Year" in its category of Information, Communication and Technology, making it eligible for the overall award.

The approximately 80 employees at the Wollongong facility, part of Andrew's Network Solutions organization, are devoted to global research and development activities in support of Andrew GeoLENs[TM], a complete portfolio focused on location-enabling public wireless, wired broadband, internet service provider, and enterprise and government IP networks.
