Andrew L. Michuda named Teltech CEO.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 1997--Teltech Resource Network Corporation today announced the appointment of Andrew L. Michuda as president and chief executive officer. Michuda, who is currently president of the company's Knowledge-Management Services Division, will assume his new responsibilities immediately. He replaces William William, crown prince of Germany

 J. Zierolf, who has resigned to accept another position.

Michuda, 42, joined Teltech in 1991 as vice president of sales and marketing. In 1995, he founded Teltech's knowledge-management consulting practice, developing it into a multi-million dollar business line and one of the company's fastest-growing service areas. "In today's demanding business environment, an organization's ability to create and apply knowledge is one of the few sustainable sources of competitive advantage," stated Michuda. "Teltech is uniquely positioned to provide integrated access to internal and external sources of information that support knowledge development and use. Our objective is to transition the company toward expanded relationships with our clients based on the emerging need for enterprise-wide knowledge management solutions. I'm I'm

In making the announcement, Teltech founder and chairman Joseph Shuster said, "Andy has distinguished himself through his vision and his mature understanding of what it takes to grow a successful business. He is a respected leader who knows our company and the needs of our markets. Andy was the first to recognize that our core competencies A core competency is something that a firm can do well and that meets the following three conditions specified by Hamel and Prahalad (1990):

Shuster said, "We are grateful for the significant impact that Bill Zierolf has had on Teltech's progress. His leadership and innovative thought in such areas as product development, distribution and the amassing of proprietary content have been key to our sustained growth. Bill was a principal driver of our strategies for adding value to our research capabilities through more synthesis, analysis and the broader use of experts as sources. His efforts have had a lot to do with the strong momentum of our business."

Prior to joining Teltech, Michuda was general manager of the Technical Services Division of Control Data Corporation.
