Population: 53,300. , Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2001 new dehydrators provide reliable dry air sources for medium and large-volume broadcast transmission systems Andrew Corporation Andrew Corporation is an American multinational producer of communications devices. Andrew is a global designer, manufacturer, and supplier of communications equipment, services, and systems. (NASDAQ NASDAQ in full National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations U.S. market for over-the-counter securities. Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on :ANDW) introduced two new automatic membrane dehydrators for medium- and large-volume broadcast transmission systems. The MT1000 and MT2000 DryLine(R) Automatic Membrane Dehydrators are the industry's first, fully automatic membrane dehydrators. The MT1000 dehydrator de·hy·dra·tor n. 1. A substance, such as sulfuric acid, that removes water. 2. An appliance or an engineered system designed to remove water from substances such as absorbents or food. is appropriate for medium-volume systems from 50 to 550 ft3 (1,415 to 15,560 liters). The MT2000 dehydrator is suitable for large-volume systems from 100 to 1100 ft3 (2,830 to 31,130 liters). Both dehydrators produce dew points better than -50(degree)F (-45(degree)C). The new dehydrators are automatically regenerative re·gen·er·a·tive adj. 1. Of, relating to, or marked by regeneration. 2. Tending to regenerate. re·gen , making them an excellent choice for remote sites where accessibility for maintenance is an issue. The MT dehydrators use remote automatic pressure sensing for activating and deactivating the compressor, this enables the units to operate only when needed, minimizing wear and tear and reducing the need for maintenance. This feature also enables precise control of system pressure. The units automatically start when system pressure drops to 3 psi and shut down when the pressure reaches 8 psi. Designed as standalone units, MT1000 and MT2000 dehydrators may be placed directly against a wall or in a corner. Power, dry air, and alarm connections are readily accessible from the top of the unit. Additional features on both units include full alarm, pressure indicator, lighted on/off switch, a resettable breaker, and run-time meter. The MT1000 and MT2000 dehydrators have a one-year (compressor) and three-year (dehydrator) warranty. Andrew Bulletins Number 10633 (MT1000) and 10634 (MT2000) give full product specifications.
