Melded Eastern mystioism with Western ideals to forge a direct "path to God"

When ordered by his guru in 1993 to leave his male lover and write a book about how his guru's divine force turned him straight, Andrew Harvey Andrew Harvey (born 1952) is a Shakespeare scholar and mystic who was born in India. He envisions true spirituality to be the divinization of earthly life through spiritual practice. These practices can take many forms and can be taken from any religious tradition.  disobeyed.
