:ANDW) today announced that it will open a manufacturing facility in Brno, the second-largest city in the Czech Republic Czech Republic, Czech Česká Republika (2005 est. pop. 10,241,000), republic, 29,677 sq mi (78,864 sq km), central Europe. It is bordered by Slovakia on the east, Austria on the south, Germany on the west, and Poland on the north. . The company has signed a build-to-suit lease with CTP CTP (cytidine triphosphate): see cytosine.

 Project Invest s.r.o. for a 100,000 square-foot facility in Brno's Central Trade Park (CTP) industrial zone. The facility will be completed and in production by the end of September 2003.

Andrew Corporation's Brno facility will employ 300 people and will be used for manufacturing microwave antennas and other wireless equipment for European markets. While the Brno facility is being constructed, Andrew is temporarily occupying two smaller leased facilities in Brno.

The city of Brno is an exceptional European gateway with good road, rail, airport, and border crossing links to facilitate fast and efficient transportation of Andrew products to customers throughout Europe and beyond. Brno's Central Trade Park (CTP) is only fifteen minutes way from the center of Brno. The CTP is conveniently located on the highway from Brno to Vienna and the intersection of the highways from Prague to Bratislava and Olomouc. Prague is just 200 kilometers from Brno.
