Andrew Corporation Elects Two New Directors; Elizabeth A. Fetter and William O. Hunt Join Andrew Board of Directors.

Andrew Corporation (NASDAQ:ANDW) has elected Elizabeth A. Fetter and William O. Hunt to its Board of Directors.

Ms. Elizabeth A. Fetter (age 41) is president and chief operating officer at NorthPoint Communications, Inc., a national facilities-based data local exchange carrier providing high-speed Internet access using digital subscriber line (DSL) technology. She joined NorthPoint in March 1999 from US WEST, where she was vice president and general manager of the Consumer Services Group. Ms. Fetter also had company-wide responsibility for US WEST's e-Business initiative. In 1997, Ms. Fetter served as vice president and general manager of Operator and Directory Services for SBC Communications, Inc. From 1991 to 1997, she held a number of executive positions in strategy, finance, sales, marketing, and general management at Pacific Bell.

In 1999, Ms. Fetter was named as one of the "Most Influential Businesswomen in the San Francisco Bay Area." Her other directorships include Global Asset Management, San Francisco State University College of Business Advisory Board, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Board and Executive Women's Advisory.

Ms. Fetter holds a MS in Industrial Administration and Public Policy from Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a BA in Communication Studies from Penn State University, University Park, Pennsylvania.

Mr. William O. Hunt (age 65) has been chairman of the board and director of Internet America, Inc., an internet service provider, since 1995. Mr. Hunt has also been chairman of the board of Intercall, Inc., a public access telecommunications firm, since 1992 and president and chief executive officer from 1992 until 1998. He was chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Alliance Telecommunications Corporation, a wireless telecommunications firm, from 1986 to 1992. Mr. Hunt also served as chairman of the board of Hogan Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of application software for the worldwide financial and banking industry, from 1990 to 1993 and as vice chairman from 1993 to 1996.

Mr. Hunt is also director of American Homestar Corporation; Intellicall, Inc.; Digital Covergence.Com; and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the College of Business Administration at the University of North Texas.

Mr. Hunt holds a BBA and MBA from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas.
