Andrew Corporation's (NASDAQ:ANDW) Microceptor(R) Window Mount Antennas are helping to make Schlotzsky's(TM) Delis (NASDAQ:BUNZ) the latest wireless hot spots for discerning diners. Schlotzsky's Cool Cloud(TM) wireless network has been installed in select Schlotzsky's restaurants across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, and Ohio. The Andrew antennas provide Wi-Fi coverage for the countertop Apple Mac computers provided by Schlotzsky's and for customer-owned laptops.

The Cool Cloud service is a managed wireless network with a captive portal installed by Austin-based WLAN service provider WiFi-Texas.com, Inc. While any laptop with a wireless adapter will work in Schlotzsky's restaurants, the Cool Cloud network provides PCTEL, Inc.'s Segue(TM) Roaming Client software to simplify "finding" the wireless network. The Cool Cloud wireless service reaches outside the restaurants and also displays Schlotzsky's distinctive logo on user laptops.

All Schlotzsky's restaurant wireless hot spots are 802.11b-compliant. Those deployed since April 2003 use Andrew Microceptor Series Window Mount antennas. These antennas are designed for enabling broadband wireless antenna solutions and are particularly suitable for creating wireless hot spots in non-line-of-sight situations such as restaurants, coffee shops, hotel lobbies, and offices.

Microceptor antennas are lightweight and easy to install, have slim radomes (just 1.5 x 3 x 12.625 inches), and feature an articulating mount with up/down tilt for capturing peak signal strength. Antennas can be wall or window mounted. The antenna is rated at 12.5 dBi and delivers up to ten times more signal strength than monopole antennas. Andrew Corporation's Cinta(TM) braided cable connects the installed Microceptor antennas with their output coaxial connectors.
