This initiative began when the Andrew manufacturing plant in Lochgelly, Scotland, received its ISO 14001 certification in May 2000.

The new ISO 14001 certifications apply to Andrew Corporation's Suzhou, China manufacturing and administration facility; the Andrew corporate headquarters, manufacturing, and administration facilities in Orland Park and Tinley Park, Illinois Tinley Park is a village located primarily in Cook County, Illinois, United States with a small portion in Will County. The population was 48,401 at the 2000 census, and 58,322 in the 2007 census. Tinley Park is one of the fastest growing suburbs south of Chicago. , USA; and the Andrew distribution and administration center in Tokyo, Japan. These facilities were independently assessed, audited, and certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI BSI - British Standards Institute ), a world leader in standards and quality management services.
