Andrea Martin joins `Young Frankenstein'

Mel Brooks has got his Frau Blucher.

Andrea Martin, last seen on Broadway in a revival of "Fiddler on the Roof," has joined the cast of "Young Frankenstein," which opens at Broadway's Hilton Theatre on Nov. 8. Preview performances begin Oct. 11.

Martin will appear as the housekeeper in the musical based on Brooks' 1974 film comedy. Also in the cast are Roger Bart, who plays Dr. Frederick Frankenstein; Megan Mullally as Elizabeth; Sutton Foster as Inga; Fred Applegate as Kemp; Christopher Fitzgerald as Igor; and Shuler Hensley as The Monster.

"Young Frankenstein," directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, will play an out-of-town engagement, Aug. 7-Sept. 1, at Seattle's Paramount Theatre.
