Mr. Picard joined the Coscient team in March 1996 as Executive Vice-President and General Manager of S.D.A. Productions to assist Francois Champagne in the development and production of drama series, youth programs and international co-productions.

After guiding S.D.A. Productions since 1978 and achieving the success for which the company is known in all areas of production, Mr. Champagne will build on his experience in strategic development at the Group level, as Vice-President, Special Projects.

Before joining S.D.A. Productions, Andre Picard was International Vice-President of Les Films Rozon Inc. in Paris. Prior to that, he was Vice-President - Film and Executive Producer of Imax Corporation in Toronto. Mr. Picard has also held management positions at Telefilm tel·e·film

This success was followed by Scoop I, II, III, IV, a series which maintained audience ratings of 2,700,000 viewers for four consecutive years. This program earned two Gemeaux Awards as the best series of the year for Scoop II and IV. The tradition continues this year with Omerta o·mer·ta
