announced that revenue for the second quarter ended May 31, 1995, increased 19% to $18,751,000 from $15,724,000 last year. The net loss was $231,000, or $.05 per share, compared with net income of $15,000 for second quarter of fiscal 1994.

For the six months ended May 31, 1995, revenue increased 25% to $33,767,000 compared with $26,951,000 a year earlier. The net loss for the first half of fiscal 1995 was $598,000, or $.14 per share, compared with a net loss of $757,000, or $.17 per share, for the same period last year.

A company spokesman noted that the increase in second quarter sales was due to the Dobie acquisition, which was completed on February February: see month.  27, 1995. He added that pricing pressures remain intense throughout the apparel industry and that the company has not been able to pass through cost increases to its customers. In addition, he said the company has accepted business at lower margins in order to maintain market share.

Andover Togs manufactures children's and women's apparel.
