Anderson may get scrappy against Waites; DARTS.

GARY ANDERSON has impressed everyone with his scoring power, but Sporting Index may still have pitched his match 180s too high tonight, writes Steve Davies.

Anderson takes on Scott Waites in round two of the Grand Slam of Darts and you can bin maximums at 9.1.

The Scot should batter the lipstick and has pinned an average of three per match in his three best-of-nine matches in Wolverhampton.

It's best-of-19 now but it does not follow that the mercurial Anderson will necessarily go 180 crazy. He doesn't always produce under pressure and can get scrappy, while the occasion could easily get to Waites, who has looked a bag of nerves in periods of his matches and has mustered just a couple of 180s to date.

Waites is a solid performer on the BDO circuit but has often looked uncomfortable on the telly and tonight could be no exception.
