) announced last week it has signed a letter of intent to acquire the business of Computer Outlet Center Inc., a computer manufacturer/dealer/VAR based in Nebraska, in a transaction valued to increase ACPT gross revenues by approximately $3 million.

Closing of the transaction is expected by February 1999 in which Anderson will acquire Computer Outlet Center's ongoing retail operations in Nebraska. Computer Outlet Center, which began in 1995, has been rated by Omaha Business as one of the top companies to purchase computers or services.

Computer Outlet Center will become the new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  manufacturer of Anderson's Tidalwave Computers, as well as a receiving center for Anderson's Web site orders. Computer Outlet Center also sells their own brand, NewCom computers, as well as being IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  and Hewlett-Packard authorized au·thor·ize

Anderson Computers intends to aggressively seek other manufacturers, VARs and hardware distributors for acquisitions with the goal of actively integrating them together. These acquisitions will also be a building block for ACPT to apply for listing on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market.
