Andalex helps visitors get to art of LI.


The Andalex Group announced a year-long sponsorship of the Long Island City art map, a quarterly guide to the area's arts and cultural destinations which is published and distributed citywide by the Long Island City Cultural Alliance.

"Long Island City's arts community has played a major role in the growth of the area, not only as a residential destination but also as a center for business and tourism," said Andrew Silverman Silverman is the surname of:

  • Bernard Silverman
  • Beverly Sills (born Silverman)
  • Billy Silverman
  • Brian Silverman, professor
  • Craig Silverman
  • David Silverman, an animator
, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of The Andalex Group. "As a new member of the community in Long Island City, we are proud to help educate people about the cultural significance of this extraordinary neighborhood. We hope to encourage New Yorkers and visitors to take the short trip here and experience all that this dynamic community has to offer."

The Andalex Group is donating $30,000 to the LICCA for the production of 200,000 copies of the quarterly guide to arts and culture, which will be distributed to a businesses, museums, hotels, galleries, retailers and tourist (jargon) tourist - A guest on the system, especially one who generally logs in over a network from a remote location for comm mode, electronic mail, games and other trivial purposes.
