And you kill babies, too! (Off The News).

Gretta Duisenberg Gretta Duisenberg (born 1942) is a Dutch activist, known chiefly for her marriage to ECB-banker Wim Duisenberg and pro-Palestinian activities. From 1987 until his death on July 31, 2005, she was married to the Dutch economist Wim Duisenberg, the first president (1999-2003) of the , the wife of European Central Bank European Central Bank (ECB)

But what surprised many international observers was her husband's utter silence during the affair: Amid his wife's bashing of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Duisenberg said nothing. Many observers wondered why the ECB chief didn't take pains to distance himself from her recent rants.

Maybe he's just grown weary of doing so. Turns out the latest incident has opened the floodgates for a number of stories regarding Mrs. Duisenberg's antics. One former G7 official, an American who served in Vietnam and still wears a ring with military markings, was once asked by the wife of the ECB president what role he played in the war. Before he could finish his answer, Mrs. Duisenberg launched a blistering attack, virtually accusing the U.S. official of killing babies. "My only thought was: How do I get out of here? But she kept pummeling me with left-wing accusations to the point of absurdity" the former official says.
