And the winner is....


Election results are in! Thanks to everyone who voted for their favorite vegetable in the U*S*Kids Veggie Election.

And the winner is... Forrest T. Broccoli! On the following page you can see how much of the total number of votes each candidate received (the percentage).

Many readers chose to vote for "write-in" candidates. They even came up with their own names for these new veggie characters. (There were a lot of write-in votes for carrots--must be because they come in bunches.) The names were so creative and clever that we decided to include some of them here. A few of these original veggie characters were even invited to the victory celebration on the next page. Can you spot them?
