Ancient humour no longer acceptable

The BBC BBC
 in full British Broadcasting Corp.

Publicly financed broadcasting system in Britain. A private company at its founding in 1922, it was replaced by a public corporation under royal charter in 1927.
has reported that a team of academics has been charged with scanning history to track down the world's oldest humour. The project, by UK TV comedy channel "Dave", wants to identify the oldest recorded example of a joke.It sounds bizarre, but the winner is an ancient Sumerian proverb, of 1900 BC which mocks a woman who breaks wind in her husband's lap!In this era, if a man breaks wind, in the sheer presence of a woman, it could lead to a divorce!!
