Ancient flints to be exhibited.


PREHISTORIC flints found in the rural outskirts of Coventry will go on display to the public later this month.

The worked flints were unearthed Unearthed is the name of a Triple J project to find and "dig up" (hence the name) hidden talent in regional Australia.

Unearthed has had three incarnations - they first visited each region of Australia where Triple J had a transmitter - 41 regions in all.

), an organisation run in partnership with the Archaeology Team at Coventry City Council and the local archaeology society CADAS CADAS Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (Chattanooga, TN) , while on a field walk in an Allesley Village farm in November last year.

They will go on display to the public in Allesley Village Hall on Saturday, February 24, from 2pm until 4pm.

CHEP won pounds 50,000 in Heritage Lottery Funding for a two-year research project in the Coventry area.
