) announced today that the Anchor Bar The Anchor Bar is a restaurant located at 1047 Main at North St. a few blocks north of downtown Buffalo, New York, USA where the Buffalo-style chicken wing was first served in 1964. CBRE will represent the Anchor Bar Franchise Company, LLC with its nationwide roll-out of new restaurant properties. Heading this project will be Charles Clark Charles Clark was the name of:
  • Charles Clark (governor) (1810–1877), Governor of Mississippi during the American Civil War
  • Charles Clark (judge) (born 1925), a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 1969 to 1992
 and Julia Kramer, acting as point of contact for the company and its franchisees offering comprehensive real estate services, including site selection and lease negotiations.

Founded in 1964, the original Anchor Bar restaurant is a Buffalo, NY, destination internationally known for serving up over 1,000 pounds of wings daily to celebrities, political leaders and thousands of customers who seek the unique and great taste of Frank and Teressa's Original Buffalo Wings. Although many have tried to duplicate the delicacy, the closely guarded secret recipe is proclaimed, "best wings in the world." Buffalo wings have grown to be a national food icon and restaurant menu item.

John Veyette, president of the Anchor Bar Franchise, LLC, is enthusiastic about the restaurant concepts and building a relationship with CBRE. "The firm is well-known and respected in commercial real estate for honesty, integrity and commitment to customers, philosophies both of our organizations share," underscores Veyette. In partnership with the proprietors of the original Anchor Bar, the Anchor Bar Franchise Company is offering three unique restaurant concepts based on the original site including replica restaurants and fast food operations.
