An increasing number of people are using the Internet to trace their ancestry. It seems a need of human nature is motivating them to discover their biological heritage.

, each set being comprised of a man and a woman. Likewise, the same person has four sets of great-grandparents, eight sets of great-great grandparents, sixteen sets of great-great-great grandparents--and so on.

By searching public records all over the world, ancestry researchers hope to list as many levels of grandparents as possible and then add the relevant siblings, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Sadly, in some situations the biological mother does not know the identify of the biological father. And the knowledge of biological parenthood is not an unmitigated un·mit·i·gat·ed
