Ancelotti ready to take over as Chelsea's new coach.

London, Apr 9 (ANI): AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti Carlo Ancelotti (born June 10, 1959 in Reggiolo) is a former footballer and current coach of Serie A club A.C. Milan. He is currently the longest-tenured manager in Serie A, having been with Milan since November 2001.  has told Chelsea that he is ready to take over from stopgap boss Guus Hiddink Guus Hiddink (born 8 November 1946 in Varsseveld) is a Dutch football manager. He managed PSV Eindhoven between 2002-2006. Throughout his entire managerial career, he is best recognised for winning the treble with PSV Eindhoven, leading South Korea to a 4th place finish in the .

Ancelotti has promised Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich Roman Arkadyevich Abramovich (IPA: [rʌˈmɑn ərˈkadʲievɨtɕ əbrʌˈmovɨtɕ]) (Russian:  that he is willing to join the club this summer, The Sun reported.

Ancelotti was the Blues owner's first choice to replace Phil Scolari, but was unwilling to leave Milan mid-season.

However, sources at the Italian club have indicated that an agreement has been reached with Chelsea, which will see Ancelotti named as the new coach.

A contract worth around 5.8million pounds a season over three years has been discussed and should be signed in June.

Real Madrid has courted the 52-year-old, but Abramovich's personal intervention is understood to have helped swing the deal in Chelsea's favour.

The only remaining obstacle is whether Milan will demand compensation for their manager, who has one year of his contract left to run.
