Like all early Greek philosophy, Anaxagoras' book has been mislaid by history, so Curd (philosophy, Purdue U.) must rely on two indirect sources. First, quotations from his book by others, which she presents in the original Greek with facing pages of English translation and extensive commentary. Second, contemporary accounts of his life and views, which she presents in English. Finally, she offers five essays on his life and work, the original mix and the seeds, everything in everything, the workings of nous, and science.
