Anavant Systems Introduces Trans4maX(TM) For Test Centers.

RYE BEACH, N.H. -- Responding to a call for help from Test Center Quality Assurance Managers to speed up testing routines and improve productivity, Anavant Systems has launched a modular, library based software solution. The Trans4maX[TM] product suite addresses the time lost when benchmarking and testing against similar products from other families and vendors.

Once a testing program has been devised to test a range of products, the test program effectiveness is thrown into disarray when the specification of one of the equipments goes through a product technical update. To maintain the validity of the program, it will be necessary to adapt test parameters for the modified product. This is lost productive time taken away from the test process and when the number of updates are multiplied across a year's worth of Quality Assurance programs on the test floor, the loss of productivity is considerable. In the networking industry switch manufacturers are applying updates for their customers every other day. The task of implementing the upgrades into a testing environment is increasing the time to accomplish test programs and directly impacts test centers and customers.

As the configuration parameters in the repository consist of the latest equipment configuration sets, the operator is able to see, check and convert test parameters across different equipments. By updating the test program from the Trans4maX[TM] configuration file, the operator is able to make modifications without manual intervention. The time intensive process of manually editing the test program's software routines is eliminated.

The repository is continually updated utilizing the latest modification notices issued by equipment vendors. Anavant Systems is planning to make the repository accessible on-line to licensed customers.

The software is available now direct from Anavant Systems. Delivery and installation is dependent on the end-user application. The suite interface and file repository is configured to meet customer requirements and the associated cost of the package is dependent on the amount of customization demanded by each test environment.
