Anatolia Gold Assays From Copler Drilling.

TORONTO -- Assay results for 139 holes in the Main Zone confirm, expand area of oxide gold mineralization in Main Zone. More results to follow.

Anatolia Minerals Development Limited (TSX:ANO.U) ("Anatolia") has completed a 207-hole reverse-circulation ("RC") drilling program on a 50-meter grid pattern at Copler to define the leachable portion of the previously announced 4.2 million ounce inferred gold resource (Watts Griffis and McOuat - March 2003). Assays for 139 of these are presented below in summary form. All results received to date are from the Main Zone, starting at surface and represent assays in the visually defined 'oxide zone'. Cyanide-leachable assays of composites of the visually determined oxide zone indicate a high degree of accuracy in defining the oxide/sulfide boundary, as well as confirming previously determined leachability (+80%). "We are very pleased with the results received to date and look forward to those from the rest of the Main Zone and from the Manganese Mine and Marble Contact zones," said R.C. Moores, President of Anatolia. "These results should be instrumental in establishing a solid oxide resource for use in the feasibility study in progress. We have received a number of positive results, including the presence of a thick zone of good grade material on the previously undrilled east side of the Main Zone and look forward to results from step-outs to the northwest of the proposed pit area." Mr. Moores continued, "Our objective is to focus on developing the leachable resource as rapidly as possible. Subsequently, we will evaluate the size and process for the sulfide mineralization - the intent being to minimize initial capital expenditure and maximize early cash flow from the project."

Hellman & Schofield Pty Ltd has been commissioned to undertake a new oxide resource estimate, scheduled for completion by the end of the 3rd Quarter 2004. Results from the full program will be used in the feasibility study, currently scheduled for completion by mid 2005. A number of diamond core twin holes are currently under way, in order to verify RC drill results. Anatolia is also posting relevant portions of the Copler Conceptual Study provided by Rio Tinto (see Anatolia's news release dated March 4, 2004) to its web site (www.anatolia-minerals.com).

Anatolia has been engaged in minerals exploration in Turkey since 1996. In January 2004, Anatolia obtained 100% interest in the 4-million ounce inferred gold resource Copler. Anatolia is fast-tracking work at Copler to achieve an early production decision for an open pit gold operation for the shallow leachable oxide portion of Copler. The Company also controls another 1.3 million hectares within Turkey, including three properties currently under joint exploration with Rio Tinto. The Rio Tinto agreement continues through 2007 and requires payment by Rio Tinto of expenditures for grassroots programs, specific prospect costs in which Rio Tinto is participating, and portions of Anatolia's Turkish field office expenses.

Anatolia currently has 41.0 million common shares issued and outstanding, 44.9 million fully diluted. Anatolia trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange in US dollars as ANO.U.
