Analysys Appoints Head to Broadband and Media Practice.

LONDON -- Analysys, the global advisers on telecoms, IT and media (http://www.analysys.com), has appointed Mike Grant as Principal Consultant and Global Head of Analysys Consulting's Broadband and Media practice, based in London.

Previously with Superscape Group PLC, Grant led the development of an organisation that brought 3D graphics to the mobile phone industry and is now the world's largest publisher of 3D games for mobiles and one of the top 10 games publishers in the US.

During his five-years at Superscape, Grant secured the support of, amongst others, Nokia, ARM, Vodafone and Motorola for the development of the global standard for mobile 3D graphics, based on Superscape technology. Grant went on to play a major role in licensing Superscape's implementation of that standard to three of the top four global handset manufacturers.

Prior to Superscape, Grant was Principal Consultant at Analysys. He returns to the business to give impetus to its expanding media work, reflecting the increasing convergence of media and telecoms.

The appointment of Mike Grant follows the recent high-profile additions of Harry M. ("Chip") Shooshan and Dr Jeffrey H. Rohlfs as Principal Consultants at Analysys Consulting, based in the firm's Washington DC office.

With 26 years of consulting experience, Shooshan's expertise includes extensive work in the areas of competition policy, regulatory reform, the emergence of mobile and IP platforms and mass media.

Rohlfs is an economist who has focused on the telecommunications and mass-media industries in his 24 years as a consultant.
