Analyst Conference Call Re: Cineplex Galaxy LP to Purchase Famous Players.

TORONTO -- Cineplex Galaxy LP (TSX:CGX.UN) announced today that it has agreed to purchase the Famous Players movie exhibition business from Viacom Inc.(NYSE: VIA and VIA.B). The transaction is valued at $500 million, inclusive of approximately $36 million in capital lease obligations. The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.
