IPD will help to improve the efficiency of NRL's meteorological database architecture, as well as the availability and clarity of METOC information to NRL scientists supporting the Navy. Bennett noted, "C4I programs such as METOC are given priority status by Department of Defense planners, and this work is well matched with our core information technology skills. This win represents a strategic link in IPD's business plan, and a vote of confidence from our customers at NRL."
